The holidays are in Guadalupe! We had a fantastic Thanksgiving and are planning a wonderful Christmas. We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
As COVID recedes and our community start to come back to life, we are again talking to people and wondering about the future. Do people still want to be working on helping their community grow? If so, what might it look like? We are asking this because we exist to help the community grow- not do any one specific thing. This was reinforced with our learning on preschools. When we started MiCasita, there were zero preschools in Guadalupe. There are now 6. So we are again meeting and talking and dreaming
We are finding wonderful green shoots of community. We have started a weekly girls meeting on Monday night under Miss Patricia (see below for some pictures). We again have people wanting help with school, so we have started tutoring again. We are meeting again as a community! God is good.
