This fall, we returned to Guadalupe with Anita Soto. We continue to meet to share Bible Stories in a Montessori style as much as possible on Tuesday afternoons. We have spent time on creation, the fall, and the flood. The remainder of the autumn will focus on Abraham and the Great Family.
Anita has continued to tutor students on Mondays and Wednesdays; together, we provided backpacks for about 30 kids and provided some food to families who needed help.
Soon, it will be Advent and Christmas. As Anita did in the spring, connecting Lent with the Pascua-Yaqui ceremonies, we expect she will continue to help them discover the Christian heritage they share as Yaquis in Guadalupe.
