We welcomed Spring back to Guadalupe with an Ice Cream Social! It was wonderful to gather back together, especially after avoiding groups due to COVID for the last 2 years.
With the preschool going full swing this spring, we wanted to get the children and parents back together to enjoy some fellowship, some ice cream and to tell people about our upcoming summer program.
The Ahwatukee Chamber of Commerce Woman's group helped us out at the event. The ran a wonderful art program were the children could make colored sand art. They also provided ice cream, drinks and supplies for the party. Further, they gave us a donation to help the program. Thank you very much to Carrie Chipman, Andy Hayes, Madhu, Dee and the rest of the Chamber that joined us. The town provided tables and chairs - thank you as well!
It was a wonderful event! We had about 75 people come to it Thursday evening between 6 pm and 8 pm at the Guadalupe Learning Lab in the Mercado in Guadalupe. Many people signed up for our summer program and some moms even agreed to have a Zumba class in our space weekly! It was good to see everyone!
Here are some pictures from our April Ice Cream Social at the Guadalupe Learning Lab. The top picture is our friends from the Ahwatukee Chamber of Commerce Womans group running a wonderful sand art table. The next row is of our friends enjoying some ice cream. The bottom row isa great shot of a finished sand art by one of our students and some people enjoying the preschool space. It is great to be meeting again!
